Quikcast documentation
Quikcast serves externally encoded continuous audio, pulls configured continuous relays, and independently serves externally produced MPEG-TS HLS assets. Start with the configuration guide, then use the operator and engineering references for your workflow.
Operator guides
Configuration guide: startup, credentials, mounts, resource limits, relays, HLS, and proxy deployment.
Continuous relays: upstream connections, retry behavior, and relay operations.
Management API: authenticated inspection and control.
Manual validation: the encoder, player, proxy, and lifecycle checklist.
Current scope
The feature freeze records the accepted standalone scope. The feature roadmap tracks validation gates and deferred work. Configuration details are checked against the implementation as of 2026-10-08.
Engineering and historical evidence
Read the architecture, engineering contracts, and protocol decisions for implementation details. Milestone and review topics retain their original review dates and conclusions; use the current configuration guide and feature freeze for the current operator contract.
Evidence downloads are snapshots of the repository files referenced by each topic. Paths written as inline code in historical reports describe their original repository layout.
